In this first episode, Dr Robert Svoboda and Poonam Kalmadi, surrounded by the quiet waters of the Mulshi Lake, review the topic of Panchakarma, at the heart of Ayurveda and of this center.
Panchakarma is a detoxification and rejuvenation process that helps remove toxins from the body. Considered as one of the focal points of Ayurveda, this treatment introduces the art of unlayering and discovery of all aspects of yourself. It is probably one of the most important steps for anyone looking to go deeper into the exploration of one self, yoga, meditation, liberation.
Here, Dr Svoboda and Poonam Kalmadi share their own understanding and experience of Panchakarma.
Poonam Kalmadi, Indian/American, is the daughter of Prakash and Ragini Kalmadi who founded KARE 25 years ago. Having recently moved back to India from America, she is now leading the center with her mother Ragini Kalmadi.
Dr Robert Svoboda, American/Indian, is an Ayurvedic physician and author of twelve books on the sciences of India. Acting as a bridge for civilizations and wisdom, he is the one who brought Ayurveda to America.
